Mercury Insurance’s Property Large Loss Adjusters are trusted experts who show up for policyholders during some of the most challenging moments of their lives — bringing deep expertise, empathy, and decisive action to complex property claims. In this senior-level remote and field-based role you will operate with a high degree of independence to investigate, evaluate, and resolve sophisticated homeowner and potentially commercial property claims, making a meaningful impact on both the customer experience and the integrity of Mercury’s claims operation. If you are a seasoned property claims professional who thrives on complexity, values autonomy, and is energized by the opportunity to lead from the field, this is the role for you.
As a Property Large Loss Adjuster, typical losses are in excess of $250,000, and you will travel to our customer’s homes or commercial properties to conduct onsite inspections. This role requires advanced property claims coverage knowledge, claims investigations, scope and estimate development, vendor coordination, reserve management, and negotiation skills to settle claims promptly and efficiently to ensure our customers receive the highest level of support and resolution.
Our Property Large Loss Adjusters also uses virtual inspection and collaboration technology and software such as Xactimate, ClaimX Video collaboration and other tools when appropriate. Our large loss property adjuster may also provide technical guidance, file direction, or support to less experienced team members.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$94,458 to $179,048 (NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$85,871 to $162,771 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$77,283 to $146,494 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
In CA: Typical hiring range is $123,077.70 to $150,428.30
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
