Overview

Position Summary:

The primary job function is to oversee and provide expertise in the review of vendor contracts/agreements terms and condition of sale and lead negotiation of such terms and conditions, particular emphasis on Information Technology contracts however other vendor contracts such as those supporting Human Capital, Legal Department, Professional Services, Claims and Facilities will also be supported by this position. Must have experience interfacing with internal and vendor executive level management and company legal counsel. This position will also provide expertise regarding the vendor lifecycle procurement process to enterprise business units while ensuring, via audit activities, compliance with company procurement policies. Company Procurement Policy management activities include collaborating with Corporate Procurement Manager to write, maintain and publish company Procurement Policies.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

 

$94,458 to $179,048  (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$85,871 to $162,771 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$77,283 to $146,494  (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

 

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

• Assist business units, as required, with sourcing efforts, RFP generation, source evaluations, source selection recommendations, vendor negotiations, contract award, contract maintenance and retention, post award supplier management, invoicing/payment reviews and contract close out. 

• Support business units with monitoring of the subcontract terms including SLAs, schedule progress, invoices and payments. Assists with change order issuance, work statement modifications and contract disputes.

• Interfaces with all levels of business unit management as the focal point for procurement knowledge, practices, policy and governance

• Perform training activities for company personnel unfamiliar with company procurement systems, Coupa and Concur

• Works directly with any senior leadership team members, company General Counsel, and other business unit executives to review and successfully negotiate vendor contract terms and conditions.

• Other functions as assigned by Corporate Procurement Manager

• Regular attendance at work on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week

 

Qualifications

Education: 

Minimum: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Indirect purchasing, or related field (required).

Preferred: 

Master's or JD degree

Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM)

 

Experience:

Minimum: 

8 - 10 years’ related experience in purchasing/procurement or contract management. Leadership experience involves extensive work with the following vendor types: Information Technology, Non-IT (NIT) - Professional Services, Legal, Human Resources.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Acting as a subject matter expert for procurement and contract management.

• Contract Lifecycle Management, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts (e.g., supplier agreements, service contracts, NDAs). 

• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills required to professionally represent the Company and purchasing department to vendors and employees.

• Strategic sourcing & Procurement, leading sourcing initiatives for high-value or strategic categories. 

• Assisting in the development of RFPs/RFQs and managing competitive bidding processes.

• Risk management, identifying contractual risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Managing disputes and resolving contractual issues effectively.

• Vendor relationship management, building and maintaining strong supplier partnerships. 

• Assist in monitoring supplier performance and enforcing contractual obligations.

• Regulatory and compliance knowledge, familiarity with procurement regulations, industry standards, and government contracting requirements.

• Ensuring adherence to ethical and compliance frameworks.

• Financial and commercial acumen, conducting cost analysis and total cost of ownership evaluations when required.

• Supporting budgeting and forecasting related to procurement contracts.

• Project Management experience including vendor oversite and schedule maintenance.

• Diligent and proactive with sound business judgment and strategic thinking

• Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal customers, other company organizations and vendors.

• Process improvement, implementing best practices for contract administration.

• Working knowledge in ERP Systems (e.g., Coupa, AI and CLM tools) to streamline workflows etc..

• Working knowledge of Concur Travel and Expense Management Software, MS applications PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook

• Leadership and mentorship, guiding junior team members and contributing to policy development.
