Position Summary:
The primary job function is to travel to various locations to perform re-inspections on vehicles that have been appraised by staff, independent appraisers and repair facilities. Responsible for selecting damaged vehicles to be taken to Company Approved Repair Service (CARS) and non-CARS shops to determine if estimates are technically sound.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$74,955 to $130,915 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$68,141 to $119,013 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$61,327 to $107,112 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Essential Job Functions:
-Travel to assigned territory to perform re-inspections and provide approvals on vehicles that have been appraised by staff, independent appraisers and repair facilities.
-Assist with managing high volume of claims and team activities due to a CAT (catastrophic) event; Offer technical guidance and present educational training seminars when needed; Participate in auditing and department projects.
-Responsible for selecting damaged vehicles to be taken to CARS and non-CARS shops to determine if estimates are technically sound.
-Create estimates/supplements and negotiate price for repairs with facilities.
-Create and maintain reports regarding production and expenses; Manage vendor relationships.
-Assist Material Damage management with overseeing supervisory functions during times of vacancies on an as needed basis.

Education:
-Associate’s Degree or 2 years undergraduate coursework preferred.
-Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience:
5-7 years automobile appraisal or related claims experience required, 2-3 years managerial experience preferred.
