Position Summary:
The primary job function is to perform moderately complex clerical and administrative duties in support of the underwriting branch of the Mechanical Protection unit.
An in-person interview may be required during the hiring process
Work hours for this position are 9am-6pm CST.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $45,000-$47,000 annually.
Essential Job Functions:
• Within limits of authority and according to established guidelines, reviews and processes new business applications for MBP coverage.
• Researches and handles suspended applications in which the agents/sellers are contacted directly to resolve discrepancies and puts the policy in force or rejects the application.
• (Approximately 40% of time is dedicated to underwriting and policy examination-related activities).
• Responds to a high volume of e-mails and/or phone calls daily regarding user access to the MBP website used by agents/sellers to process applications for MBP coverage. Resolves end-user questions and errors in the area of data processing, underwriting operations, and system maintenance.
• Regulates access to the MBP website and security files by maintaining and assigning user login information.
• Creates and provides guides and instructions to users regarding how to login and navigate the website for efficient use. (Approximately 30% of time is dedicated to MBP website administration-related activities).
• Provides timely, courteous and efficient service to agents/sellers and sometimes policyholders by offering technical and customer support and responding to inquiries, through both written and telephone communication.
• Assists in creating internal invoices and contacts delinquent parties to encourage payment and/or maximize the collection of monies due.
• Conducts special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• May include specialized or vocational courses
• Current license may be required, as determined by state regulation
Experience:
• At least 3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
