Position Summary:
Under minimum direction, the Talent Acquisition Specialist Senior manages full life cycle recruiting activities to attract and hire exceptional talent needed to Move Mercury Forward Together. This role will recruit mid-senior level Tech and non tech roles and complex requisitions. Recruiting activities include advertising, sourcing including talent mapping, screening, interviewing, selecting candidates in partnership with business leaders, and providing an excellent onboarding experience.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$74,955 to $130,915 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$68,141 to $119,013 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Essential Job Functions:
• Creates recruitment strategy to attract and acquire top talent for both Tech and non-Tech roles. Understands business needs in order to properly identify top talent proactively.
• Identifies and contacts potential passive applicants. Attends events to represent Mercury and generate awareness of employment opportunities. Serves as a strong representative of Mercury’s culture and direction and ensures a positive applicant experience.
• Interviews and evaluates candidates and presents qualified talent pool to hiring managers for final selection. Engages with outside vendor to conduct background screening of finalist. Extends offers of employment, which may include negotiation. Ensures a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
• Ensures prioritization against our most critical initiatives including Employer Branding, Diversity & Inclusion and Internal Mobility
• Proactively establishes effective partnerships with business leaders and HC business partners to understand and prioritize talent needs, identify strategic talent attraction/development initiatives, and serve as a trusted adviser throughout the talent selection process. Uses research, data, and expertise to effectively consult and communicate with business leaders and positively contributes to the recruiting experience and decision-making process.
• Proactively analyzes market and industry data to remain familiar with the labor market and trends. Recommends strategic recruiting plans that help attract top talent and meet business objectives. Seeks new methods to attract top talent. Remains current on immigration matters related to employment.
• Liaises with outside counsel to process the required paperwork. Remains current on employment laws related to talent acquisition and assists with updates to department procedures and applicant tracking system. Provides guidance to talent acquisition staff.
• Proactively identifies process gaps and provides guidance in the areas of funnel health, interviewing and talent selection.

Education:
Minimum: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in Human Resources or related field preferred

8 to 10 years of recruiting experience in tech and non tech; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Recruitment experience in Sales hiring preferred
Experience using applicant tracking systems is preferred.

• Requires a proven track record in successfully managing a high volume of full life cycle recruiting, including using applicant tracking systems
• Requires strong knowledge and proficiency in sourcing and building talent pools.
• Requires thorough knowledge of Human Resources disciplines, especially related to talent acquisition and related regulatory requirements, including immigration matters.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with employees, business leaders, and the public.
• Requires leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and social media sites used for sourcing and networking with qualified candidates, including passive candidates, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills are required.
• Requires effective organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
• Requires demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to meet changing deadlines and competing priorities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires the ability to operate with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment and discretion
• Must be able to work well in stressful situations while performing multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to sensitively handle confidential information.
• Must be able to remain adaptable and flexible to business needs.
• May require some travel as needed.
