Overview

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Multi-Rater Platforms to lead our multi-rater deployment and standardization for Mercury. This role will also partner with the tech team on development and implementation efforts to ensure optimal usage of multi-raters. This role partners with sales leadership and technical product managers to set up objectives and strategies for multi-raters and drives system improvements to optimize business processes. This is a hands-on position – prior experience with managing multi-raters from a tech and business standpoint is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multi-raters/insurtech, business requirements, and the ability to partner with a team of multi-rater developers, contractors, and collaborate with other IT professionals. 

 

Geo-Salary Information

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

 

$98,699 to $182,896  (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$89,727  to $166,269  (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$80,754  to $149,642   (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

 

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

 

Multi-Rater Strategy & Leadership: 

o Partner with technical product manager to develop and execute multi-rater strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring the platforms are fully optimized for both current and future needs. 

 

Team Partnership: 

o Partner with tech team (internal and/or external) of multi-rater developers, administrators, and consultants, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high productivity and quality standards. 

o Partner with the tech team to provide guidance on sales needs for the future of multi-raters, helping to execute on the future vision of multi-raters for Mercury. 

o Oversee the configuration and partner with tech team on configurations of various multi-raters to ensure optimal usage and deployment of multi-raters to increase relevancy in multi-rater platforms and drive PIF/premium growth 

 

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

o Work closely with business units (sales, enablement, engagement and underwriting) to understand and document business requirements, partner with tech team to deliver solutions

 

Project Management: 

o Partner with tech team to manage the full project lifecycle of multi-rater break-fixes, enhancements and implementations, from planning and design through to execution, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. 

 

Process Development and Management: 

o Develop and manage business processes through stakeholder collaboration using standard process management tools. 

 

Multi-Rater Best Practices: 

o Partner with tech team to Implement and maintain best practices in multi-rater management and deployment, ensuring the platforms are continuously monitored, enhancements implemented, and break-fixes are addressed

 

Establishing KPIs and Reporting: 

o Partner with tech team to ensure data integrity, error management, and reporting mechanisms to deliver accurate insights. 

o Vetting data / analytics offerings from multi-raters and determining properly implementation partner internally

Knowledge Share:

o Provide insights to sales teams on how the Insurtech and multi-rater landscape is changing; arm sales teams with relevant info in this space to have more productive relationships with distributors

 

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field. 

Preferred: Experience managing multi-rater and/or APIs for P&C company in the past

 

Experience:

Minimum: 10+ years of experience with personal and/or commercial lines muti-raters

 

Skills & Abilities:

Minimum: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with multi-raters and Microsoft Office Suite.
