Position Summary:
The Water Mitigation Unit (WMU) Supervisor is primarily responsible to direct Property WMU operations team operations to ensure organized and effective processing and resolution of accurate Emergency Services invoicing.
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$92,154 to $166,210 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$83,776 to $151,100 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$75,399 to $135,990 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Essential Job Functions:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• IICRC certification WTR (Water Restoration Technician) and ASD (Applied Structural Drying) preferred.
• Hold, or be able to obtain, state Property Adjuster P&C Licenses including, but not limited to, the following states: GA, OK, and TX.
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years related Company experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in complex claim file negotiations, customer and vendor relations, conflict resolution, and Emergency Services mitigation preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience with construction or first party Property Claims.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Work is of high technical nature and requires in-depth technical knowledge of established Company policies, procedures, products and services, as well as Property Claims operations and the insurance contracts; and the ability to apply such knowledge in an administrative/supervisory capacity.
• Must have strong technical and analytical ability to make accurate assessment of Property damage and Emergency Services mitigation.
• Must be able to evaluate propriety of actions taken by WMU team members to settle Emergency Services mitigation invoices and maintain objectivity and consistency in evaluating claim files.
• Requires the constant exercise of independent judgment with respect to staff and WMU issues which may have a very significant impact on the Company in areas such as cost containment, consumer loyalty, team member relations and legal escalations.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to correspond effectively and professionally with team members, agents, insureds, attorneys, vendors etc.
• Requires strong communication and presentation skills to effectively compile, design, and conduct training and WMU performance reporting for both team members and leadership.
• Must have strong knowledge and awareness of P&C and Emergency Services industry tools and trends, first party Property Claims policies and common best practices.
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft programs is preferred (Access, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
• Requires strong technical skill with Xactware, Core Logic or other industry specific estimating software products and systems.
