Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Accountant I performs limited accounting functions involving the practical application of established accounting standards, theories, principles, and practices.
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$50,056 to $87,533 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$45,505 to $79,576 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$40,955 to $71,618 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP) and generally-accepted accounting principles (GAAP) encompassing fundamental theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy.
• Requires critical attention to detail and good organizational skills needed to manage assigned general ledgers and accounts.
• Analytical and technical skill to examine and analyze the records of financial transactions for accuracy, bank reconciliation, investment accounting, effect of transactions upon account relationships, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to communicate professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization.
• Able to interact cordially with other team members to accomplish common tasks.
