Position Summary:
The primary job function of the Strategic Accounts Rep is to develop and implement business strategies that will lead to the profitable growth of an assigned group of high-opportunity agencies. This may be achieved through regular interaction with executive leadership of large national and regional brokers, agency groups, and independent agencies stretching across geographic boundaries. The Strategic Accounts Rep will be the primary liaison to these agencies, tasked with facilitating sales growth through training, analytics, and presentation of data on a regular basis.
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$92,154 to $166,210 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$89,776 to $151,100 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$75,399 to $135,990 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Completion of CPCU, CIC, or advanced degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (as determined by Company policy) required, along with ability to travel within assigned territory
Experience:
• At least 5-8 years of experience with outside sales and marketing in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry
• Experience with managing or interacting with high premium volume agencies preferred Experience with managing or interacting with high premium volume agencies, National and regional brokers, or alternative distribution preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills & Abilities:
• Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and build relationships with agency staff and team members
• Skilled at analytical thinking and utilizing data to drive sales strategy
• Highly efficient and organized. Able to manage multiple complicated tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to interact professionally with executive leadership of large agencies and other team members to accomplish assigned tasks
• Must be able to communicate effectively to support Company policies on complex issues, offer technical guidance and facilitate training sessions as needed
• Must be able to work independently under minimal supervision to train agencies via the phone and in-person during on-site visits
• Must be able to travel by airline up to 20% of the time for company meetings or events
• Must be able to travel by automobile (when needed) for on-site visits to agencies
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Negotiating and mediating skills to achieve resolutions and explain Company policies
• Ability to analyze complex reports and multi-task assigned projects
• Exhibits leadership skills that are easily recognized by management and peers
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
