Overview

Position Summary:

The Assistant Product Manager is responsible for formulating our product offering roadmap, which includes driving research, design, enhancement, and development of product features to meet the evolving needs of target customers and deliver meaningful impact and growth.  

 

Geo-Salary Information

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$92, 154 to $174,681 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$83,776 to $158,801(NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$75,339 to $142,991 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

• Assist in setting product offering roadmap and vision

o Partner with Experience, Sales Development and IT to understand the voice of customers (both insured and agents), identify opportunities, test hypotheses and lead iterative concept testing for new features and products. 

o Build business cases for new product offerings (new optional coverages, new ancillary products, proactive prevention solutions and value-added offering) to address target customer needs and establish/enhance our value proposition. 

o Research and find opportunities to enhance both the structure and delivery of existing products. 

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision, measure outcomes and drive execution.

• Play a key role in end-to-end new product offering launch including market research, product development/requirements and implementation. Collaborate with R&D to integrate new product features into product advancement as applicable.

• Explore 3rd party partnerships for different levels of engagement as needed.

• Collaborate with Marketing to create cohesive and overarching messaging for new product offering 

 

 

Qualifications

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.

• Master's degree desired in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. 

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience working with property and casualty insurance industry products or 3+ years with a Master's Degree 

• Supervisory experience desired. 

• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills regarding product and industry, reflective of successful progression through various job family levels within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.

• Advanced data query, problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills. 

• Proven ability to constructively tackle new or complex problems and make data-driven decisions, often with limited or incomplete information.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to correspond with management, internal and external customers.

• Relentlessly curious
