Position Summary:
The Lead Software QA Engineer is an expert level position with the responsibility for leadership of a team’s QA activities and interacting directly with management and project teams to facilitate effective execution of these activities. This role develops and manages automated testing frameworks, strategies, patterns, and tools that support the testing of new or modified software programs. Responsible for resolving complex issues. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Communicates common goal and direction for the team. Allocates workload to project teams and gives guidance on project completion activities. Works with business analysts to evaluate software development procedures and facilitate adherence to Internal Audit and SOX compliance. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software and ensure a positive customer experience. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Manages test execution effort including test case development per established test plans, problems/defects documentation in a defect tracking application, and software retesting effort to ensure problems are resolved.
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$92,154 to $174,681 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$83,776 to $158,801 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$75,399 to $142,921 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
