The primary job function is to assist house counsel with various pre-trial tasks; draft responses; motions and other legal documents; conduct research projects and gather information for claim cases; and correspond with clients to investigate facts in preparation for trial.
**Candidates must reside in California.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience:
• 2 - 3 years related experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Knowledge and Skills:
• General knowledge of legal principles, terminology and procedures.
• Written communication skill to draft legal documents in support of and response to discovery, depositions, etc. as well as to proof and edit documents for accuracy.
• Able to effectively correspond with clients, attorneys, and other involved parties.
• Considerable analysis of case information in order to prepare responses and motions in a thorough and accurate manner, identifying the correct procedures, strategy and important issues.
• Knowledge and proficiency in word processing software in order to complete assignments.
