This position will be supporting CA Property Claims. Hours will be 8:00am - 4:45pm PST M-F
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$60,354.78 to $105,558.25 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$54,867.98 to $95,962.04 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$49,381.18 to $86,365.84 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, evaluates and resolves minor to moderate value claims in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for effectively and timely communicating with insureds and /or their representatives to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Works independently prioritizes own responsibilities and manages own workload. Travel and some overnight stays may be required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides complete, courteous, and timely customer service to aid in the settlement process and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge of current Company policy, claim developments, procedural changes, and current values.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation of claim information for assigned files. Maintains diary of files in pending and update file information to ensure an accurate record of claims; continually reviews and monitors progress and expense of claims in pending.
- Reviews claim files, sets reserves, issues payments and/or recommends reserves and payments. Payments may be for indemnity or expense.
- Excellent written communication skills to effectively and professionally document thought processes in claim system applications, customers, and external individuals or entities.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-years of experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work independently with no or limited supervision over daily activities required to successfully investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property claims.
- Working knowledge of established Company policies and procedures, with an emphasis in claims operations.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively and professionally negotiate with claimants, insureds, and attorneys, etc.
- Strong Customer Service, ability to meet the needs of customers in difficult situations.
- Working knowledge of office and business computer applications
- Ability to make quality decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
- Ability to stay organized and work through influxes in workload.
